Our best swimming places in Interlaken
We have created a Google map just for you that you can load on your phone to explore the beauty of Interlaken waters.
1. Sunset swim in the lake
The best spot to end a perfect day is in the Alps. Lake Thun offers more dramatic and colorful sunsets, making it a better choice for evening views. This is our favorite spot to dive into the lake, watch the sunset, and have a bbq. Bonus, there are super clean toilets that are free to use!
2. Public Swimming Pool
We felt that the public swimming pool needed to be included in this list as it's incredibly beautiful inside and outside the pool. But we much rather go swimming in the lake.
3. The Beach - Strandbad Bönigen
The best beach vibe you can find in the Alps! Visit www.the-beach.ch for info and opening times. This beach club charges an entrance fee of 5.50 CHF but in return, you'll receive lots of comfort and clean facilities.
4. Sunrise swim in the lake
Perfect for early risers with courage! Lake Brienz is ideal due to its picturesque turquoise waters and tranquil setting. Come early and you see the sun come up on the opposite end of the lake. Walk along the beach and find yourself a good spot to jump into the water. Be aware: water temperature is cold so bring enough warm clothes to warm up after.
5. Burgseeli
A small, warm, natural lake near Ringgenberg, great for a quieter swimming experience.
6. Neuhaus Beach
Located at the western end of Lake Thun, offering beautiful scenery and swimming spots.
