Rock and metal fans, this one’s for you! The Greenfield Festival has been running since 2005 and grows every year. It’s one of the largest music festivals in Switzerland, with over 50,000 people attending from all over the country and nearby regions.
Held at the Interlaken Airfield, the festival has live rock and metal performances, energetic crowds, and after-parties that continue until the early hours. Tickets for all three days cost around 250 CHF, but if you haven’t got yours yet, you might be lucky and get a last-minute ticket at the festival’s ticket office.

Trucker and Country Festival (June 27–29, 2025)
Get ready for a weekend of Western fun! The Trucker and Country Festival brings over 1,100 trucks, a bikers’ corner with Harleys and other motorbikes, and plenty of live music and dance performances. It’s like stepping into an old-school Wild West town.
The festival is held at the Interlaken Airfield, and tickets for all three days are around 120 CHF. If you’re curious and want a quick look, day tickets are available for 15–20 CHF, depending on the day.

Swiss National Day (August 1)
Swiss National Day is Switzerland’s biggest holiday, and Interlaken celebrates it in style. The day starts with paragliders flying over the town, each carrying a flag from one of Switzerland’s 26 cantons. Later, there’s a big parade showcasing Swiss traditions and culture. The celebrations finish with a fireworks show in Höhematte Park.
All the activities are free, making it a perfect way to experience Swiss culture.

Summer Stage Interlaken (June–September)
Throughout the summer, towns in the Interlaken area host free live music events in open-air settings. Local musicians often perform traditional music, and many wear regional costumes, adding to the experience.
