Best Waterfalls Near Interlaken You Can't Miss

Chutes du Giessbach
Located on the shores of Lake Brienz, near Iseltwald, Chutes du Giessbach is one of the most scenic waterfalls in the region. You can hike there on a flat, easy trail from Iseltwald in about 1.5 hours, or take a bus (included with your Interlaken guest card) from Interlaken Ost.

Chutes du Trümmelbach
Hidden inside the mountain, these waterfalls have carved their way through rock, creating a spectacular canyon. A tunnel and lift system lets you explore them up close.

Rosenlaui Falls
A bit off the beaten path, Rosenlaui Falls is located 40 minutes by bus from Meiringen, on the other side of Lake Brienz. This glacier-fed waterfall drops 30m into a narrow canyon, which you can explore on foot.

Engstligen Falls
If you’re up for an adventure, Engstligen Falls is worth the trip! Located near Adelboden (about 2 hours from Interlaken), this waterfall is Switzerland’s second highest, with two sections measuring 97m and 165m.
