Nous lisons chaque avis et nous apprécions sincèrement toutes sortes de commentaires. Les positifs nous remontent le moral et les critiques nous aident à grandir.
Cela dit, nous avons décidé de ne pas répondre individuellement à chaque avis. Au lieu de cela, nous choisissons de consacrer notre temps et notre énergie à améliorer réellement les choses ici à l'auberge.
Nous savons qu'aujourd'hui, les gens attendent souvent des entreprises qu'elles répondent à chaque avis - en partie pour montrer qu'elles s'intéressent à elles, et en partie pour accroître leur visibilité en ligne. Et nous nous en soucions profondément. Mais répondre à chaque commentaire juste pour donner l’impression que nous nous en soucions nous semble inauthentique. Nous sommes un groupe très humain et nous aimons nous connecter de manière réelle. Nous préférons garder les choses réelles plutôt que de transformer les avis en un exercice de cases à cocher.
Nous savons également que les avis sont profondément personnels et subjectifs. Veuillez les lire en gardant cela à l’esprit et prenez en compte ce qui vous est utile pour décider si Balmers est le bon endroit pour votre séjour.
Sur une note plus personnelle : recevoir un avis négatif, surtout lorsqu’il est dû à un manque de communication, peut être vraiment décourageant. Notre équipe est toujours présente et disponible pour discuter en personne, et vous pouvez également nous joindre par e-mail, téléphone ou WhatsApp si quelque chose ne va pas pendant votre séjour. Nous préférons de loin essayer de résoudre les problèmes en temps réel plutôt que de les lire plus tard, lorsqu’il est trop tard pour aider.

Nous sommes ravis de vous avoir parmi nous ! Pour vous aider à rendre votre séjour – et celui des autres – aussi agréable que possible, voici quelques points à garder à l’esprit :
Restez cool:

Respecter les autres et leurs biens.
- Garder le silence après 22 h- Même une légende a besoin d’une bonne nuit de sommeil.

Départ à 10 h. Veuillez apporter votre draps, housse de couette et taie d'oreiller à la réception (pas besoin d'apporter des couettes et les oreillers).

Renvoyez tout ce que vous avez emprunté, comme les clés des chambres ou les adaptateurs.

Éteigner les lumières et ventilateurs lorsque vous quittez la pièce, s'il vous plaît!
Quelques règles simples à respecter:

Interdiction de fumer à l'intérieur- Même avec la fenêtre ouverte.

Pas de cuisine en dehors de la cuisine partagée de l'auberge.

Ne laissez pas les fenêtres grandes ouvertes avec le chauffage allumé.

Et surtout: Ne soyez pas irrespectueux.

Qu'est-ce que Balmers Hostel?
Balmers Hostel est la plus ancienne auberge privée de Suisse, installée dans trois charmants chalets suisses entourés de sommets prêts à être explorés.
C’est un lieu convivial et détendu, où les voyageurs peuvent se rencontrer, se reposer et profiter d’une ambiance unique, ludique et inoubliable.
Et avant qu’on oublie : on organise aussi quelques soirées, surtout en haute saison !
À qui s’adresse Balmers Hostel ?
Balmers Hostel s’adresse aux voyageurs ouverts d’esprit et décontractés de 18 ans et plus, qui recherchent bien plus qu’un simple endroit où dormir. Que vous veniez pour explorer les Alpes suisses, rencontrer d’autres voyageurs du monde entier ou simplement vous détendre et profiter de l’ambiance, Balmers sera votre chez-vous loin de chez vous. Nous accueillons avec plaisir les voyageurs solo, les groupes jusqu’à 10 personnes, et toute personne avec un esprit d’aventure et du respect pour les autres.

This view literally took our breath away🤯🇨🇭
My friend and I took the train from Interlaken to Lauternbrunnen for the first time and the view shocked us 🙌 As soon as you reach the station you can see the iconic waterfall that flows right above the town. Fun fact, the valley of Lauterbrunnen has 72 waterfalls!

📅 7-DAY ITINERARY👇
Day 1 — Schäfler & Seealpsee 🥾
Near Appenzell, the hike to Schäfler is moderate-to-strenuous (4–5 hrs round trip, exposed ridgeline). Take the Wasserauen cable car up to save time and loop past Seealpsee lake on the way down.
Day 2 — Arrive Interlaken 🏨
Base yourself here for the next 4 days—perfect hub for the Bernese Oberland.
Day 3 — Lauterbrunnen + Mürren Via Ferrata 🧗
Take the cable car up to the car-free village of Mürren. The via ferrata (Klettersteig) here is rated C/D (moderate-difficult) with fixed steel cables along exposed cliffs. Rent your helmet and harness locally.
Day 4 — Wengen + Jungfraujoch 🏔️
Start in Wengen, then take the cogwheel train to Jungfraujoch, the Top of Europe at 3,454m. Go early to beat tour groups and consider stopping in Grindelwald on your way back.
Day 5 — Iseltwald + Grindelwald First + Harder Kulm🌅
Morning at Iseltwald on Lake Brienz, then head to Grindelwald. Take the gondola up to First for the Cliff Walk (easy), Bachalpsee lake hike (easy, 1.5 hrs), or the First Flyer zip line. End the evening at Harder Kulm for sunset over both lakes.
Day 6 — Oeschinen Lake + Zermatt 🥾
Head to Kandersteg and take the gondola up to hike the ridge trail to Oeschinensee, an impossibly blue glacial lake (moderate, 3–4 hrs round trip). Then train to Zermatt via Brig for your first look at the Matterhorn.
Day 7 — Zermatt 🏔️
Train up to Gornergrat or hike the Five Lakes Walk (easy-moderate, ~10 km) with Matterhorn reflections at every lake.

Welcome to Lauterbrunnen, Switzerland 🇨🇭
A village of about 2,500 people sitting at the bottom of one of the most dramatic valleys in the Alps. Sheer 300-meter cliffs on both sides, 72 waterfalls, and a backdrop of the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau. It’s genuinely one of most memorable places I’ve been too🙌
🚆 Getting there
Train is the best way to reach Lauterbrunnen. Switzerland’s rail network connects directly to the village, and the Swiss Travel Pass covers trains, buses, and cable cars in the area
🥾 What to do
Hike the Männlichen to Kleine Scheidegg ridge for straight-on views of the Eiger north face. Take the cogwheel train up to Jungfraujoch, the highest railway station in Europe at 3,454m. Walk to Trümmelbach Falls, a series of glacial waterfalls carved inside the mountain itself. And walk through the valley. The waterfalls spill off the cliffs above you at almost every turn

May through October. The falls are fullest in late spring (June) when snowmelt is heavy
