¿Quién es Balmers Hostel?
¡Somos el albergue más antiguo y divertido de Suiza! Estamos situados en tres chalets de madera tradicionales suizos que rodean un patio, terrazas y jardín. La apariencia de nuestro alojamiento se puede describir mejor como divertida, cómoda y única.
¿Para quién es Balmers Hostel?
Balmers Hostel es para viajeros de mente abierta y tranquila de 18 años o más buscando más que un lugar para dormir.
Ya sea que esté aquí para explorar los Alpes suizos, conocer personas de ideas afines de todo el mundo o simplemente relajarse y disfrutar del ambiente: Balmers es su hogar lejos del hogar.
Damos la bienvenida a los viajeros en solitario, grupos de hasta 8 personas y cualquier persona con un sentido de aventura y respeto por los demás.
¿Qué hora es check in y check-out?
El check in comienza a las 4 pm/El check out es hasta las 10 am. Al realizar el registro de salida, le rogamos que baje las sábanas, así como las fundas de edredón y de almohada.
I'm arriving really late, will I still be able to check in?
Sí, pero tendrás que realizar el check-in online. Luego prepararemos sus llaves para que pueda llegar a su habitación después del cierre de la recepción.
¿Cómo llegar al albergue desde la estación de tren / estación de autobuses?
En autobús:
Desde la estación Interlaken West, tome el autobús número 105 y bájese en la parada Hotel Sonne. esto toma 5 minutos
Desde la estación Ost, tome el autobús número 104 y bájese en la parada Hotel Sonne. esto toma 5 minutos
Estamos a unos 30 metros de ambas paradas. El precio del autobús cuesta 3,80 francos suizos por persona. Los autobuses comienzan a funcionar desde las 07:00 a. m. hasta las 20:30 p. m. aproximadamente. Una vez que llegues al albergue, te proporcionaremos un pase de autobús gratuito para tu comodidad y para el resto de tu estancia.
A pie:
Se tarda unos 20 minutos desde ambas estaciones.
Desde la estación de Interlaken West – gire a la izquierda al salir de la estación y siga la calle principal, gire a la derecha en la rotonda justo después de Mc Donalds hasta el fondo. Permanezca en el lado izquierdo de la carretera y camine recto hasta que vea las señales marrones que indican Balmers. Sigue estas señales
Cómo llegar a Balmers desde la estación de Interlaken Oeste
Desde la estación de Interlaken Ost – salga recto de la estación, entre el banco y el centro comercial Coop, pase dos rotondas y siga las indicaciones marrones hacia Balmers.
También puede conseguir un taxi por unos 15 chf desde cualquiera estación de tren.

❤️ When I wake up in the morning, open the curtains, and see the white snow that piled up overnight, I think, `Ah, this is the real winter..!`
In times like this, skiing and snowboarding would be the icing on the cake, but if you can`t, don`t worry. There`s a sled! I`ll tell you all about the most beautiful sections I`ve seen while sledding in Interlaken every year, as well as tips on how to safely sledding.
🛷 Route 1) Eiger Gletscher > Kleinegg Scheidegg > Brandeck > Grindelwald Grund
Difficulty (High)
You can sledding at Jungfraujoch, but the sections are very limited, like in Korea. Instead, if you ride from Eiger Gletscher, you`ll go down a total of 13 kilometers to Grindelwald Grund Station, which is very exciting. (Stamina is important)
🚃How to get there: Interlaken Ost Station > Grindelwald Terminal Station and go to the Intersport store (You have to go down 1 floor from the station) Rent a sled > Take the Eiger Gletzer gondola > Get off at Eiger Gletzer Station > Take the elevator down > Go outside the building > Start the purple section.
🛷Route 2) Kleine Scheidegg > Brandeck > Grindelwald Grund
Difficulty (Medium)
Recommended for those who are afraid of the Eiger Gletzer section. This section is not as steep as the Eiger Gletzer, so you can enjoy going down slowly. It`s dreamy and beautiful when you pass through the forest.
🚃How to get there: Interlaken Ost Station > Lauterbrunnen Station > Kleine Scheidegg Station > Arrive at Grindelwald Grund for sledding

🛷Route 3) First > Grindelwald
Difficulty (medium-high)
You need stamina because you have to sled down 11 kilometers!
I can`t tell you how beautiful it is!
It`s also my favorite section.

❄️ Ice Walk on Oeschinensee Lake ❄️
In winter, this stunning Swiss lake freezes over, creating a magical Ice Walk!
The Ice Walk is usually open from January to early March, but check the website for the status before heading out. I checked today and it`s open now!
A marked loop on the ice lets you safely explore—just follow the sticks indicating the path. Ice skating is sometimes allowed, but bring your own skates! ⛸️
How to get there:
🚆 Train to Kandersteg
🚠 15 min walk to gondola station
🎟️ CHF 32 round trip (50% off with Swiss Travel Pass, Half Fare Card, or GA)
🥾 30 min walk to the lake (no snowshoes needed!)
⚠️ Check signs for ice conditions (Level 1 = safest) before stepping onto the lake! You do this at your own risk.
🌟 Don’t forget to grab lunch at Berggasthaus Oeschinensee before heading back!
