Ice-cold art in the glacier village: The World Snow Festival has developed into one of the most fascinating and popular winter events in the glacier village Grindelwald, and today it’s hard to imagine the season’s programme without it. Every January Grindelwald hosts the international Snow Festival on the natural ice-rink in the village centre. What began with a huge Heidi carved in the snow by Japanese artists, has since developed into a cultural happening that one would not like to do without in the glacier village.
